果酱视频 Remembers represents obituaries and celebrations of life for members of our community who have passed away.

Colleagues,

Flags have been lowered and this notice is shared in memory of Kevin Greenwood, a professor with the Okanagan School of Business who passed away unexpectedly on Oct. 13 at the age of 61.

Greenwood has taught with the School of Business since 2018.

In his honour, Greenwood鈥檚 family and friends have worked with the School of Business and the 果酱视频 Foundation to establish the Kevin Greenwood Memorial Scholarship for Entrepreneurship, toward which donations can be made here:

鈥淜evin brought his wealth of entrepreneurship experience and wisdom to every class,鈥 recalls William Gillett, Dean of the School of Business. 鈥淗e took a direct interest in the education of each of his students and his excitement and enjoyment in teaching was matched only by the enthusiasm of his students for every class session he taught. He was fully engaged in and dedicated to the entrepreneurship program at the College and his contributions to the ongoing development of our program were extensive and immensely valuable. The establishment of a fund to support our entrepreneurial students is a perfect and truly appreciated tribute to Kevin鈥檚 memory.鈥

Greenwood had established himself as a fixture in the department. Kerry Rempel, Department Chair of the School of Business, describes the hole Greenwood leaves in the faculty. 鈥淔or those of us teaching in Entrepreneurship and related courses, we leaned on Kevin鈥檚 expertise and ideas to bring innovation into our own classrooms. We鈥檒l miss his smile and his quiet contributions to our discussions.鈥

OSB Professor Blair Baldwin says: 鈥淜evin鈥檚 ability to inspire people through positive thinking, creativity and teamwork was refreshing to students and his colleagues alike. To work with him as a colleague was pure joy.鈥 You can read Greenwood鈥檚 obituary and leave condolences for his family .

A Celebration of Life will be held in Calgary at a later date.
